Howard Rose graduated from the School of Visual Arts, New York City, and did post-graduate studies at C.W. Post college and the New School of Social Research for Photography. Rose has studied with Alfred Chadbourne, Charles Sovek, Ovanes Berberian, and Matt Smith. His articles and instruction techniques have been published in numerous publications such as Artist's Magazine and American Artist Magazine. Mr. Rose teaches oil painting in workshops throughout the Northeast, including The Hudson Valley Workshops, The Art Barge in East Hampton, and Southampton Oil Painting Workshop. He has taught at The Huntington Art League and C.W. Post College. His one-man and group shows include: Indianapolis Fine Art League; Chrysalis Gallery in Southampton, N.Y.; Gardner-Colby Gallery in both Martha's Vineyard and Naples FL; Robley Gallery in Albertson, N.Y.; C.W. Post Art Center in N.Y.
