I was mesmerized with a small 6” x 9” vertical painting by Renoir called Woman standing by a tree. it had every painting element (design, tone, drawing, edges, color, calligraphy, harmony, etc.) needed to be a masterpiece. i loved the fact that is was unfinished and very loose in style.
